New Begin­nings The Seeds are a metaphor for my jour­ney from designer and illus­tra­tor to painter, the ger­mi­na­tion of a new beginning.

Stud­ies of Human Form Using the model’s phys­i­cal body as the method of apply­ing paint to the sur­face. Her energy and her real, tan­gi­ble form are embed­ded into the painting.

This series grew from a ses­sion with Stephanie Lan­ders. We had been work­ing together for a cou­ple of days and had exhausted the usual fig­ure poses.

Emo­tional Stud­ies Explor­ing the energy and emo­tion between the artist and the model. A con­ver­sa­tion engag­ing the model rather than a pic­ture of a nude hold­ing a pose.

Ink on Paper These are pages from my sketch­books, done since 2006. Most use pens, the ear­li­est are ball­point. I switched to Micron in 2007 and I am using Zig Mil­len­ni­ums at the moment. I like the .005 for it’s fine lines.
