The Sketchbook Project

2011 Tour
I signed up for The Sketchbook Project when I was in Chattanooga (it says “Cattanooga” above the barcode on the back). None of the themes really fit figure drawing and since i new I’d be moving back to Portland, I picked “Raining Cats and Dogs”. Here’s a record the models I’ve worked with over the past couple of months. Many thanks to Paige Turner for the inspiration and to Darcee, Trisha, Anj, India, Minae, Emily and Ariel for being part of the project. Special thanks to Stan and Peggy at Townsend Atelier and Jeff at Hipbone Studio for the best places to draw in both Chattanooga and Portland. The book will be kept in the Brooklyn Art Library after the tour.

Love your sketchbook captures! It’s nice to see the doodles along with the studies from life. I carry mine with me everywhere trying to catch people in moments out and about. Love figurative pieces.

Thanks Kierra,
I like yours too. I’d feel like my arm was missing without my sketchbook.
